About Us
Bulik Bakery Inc. was established by Ignacy Bulik in Warsaw, Poland in 1912. With hard work and dedication the bakery experienced growth. One of the memorable early memories was the construction of the stable, for the first horses used in the bread delivery carriage (we are trying to recover some pictures).
Poland's history is a very turbulent one. The war, the establishment and fall of communism, have all played an important role in the bakery's existence. Bulik Bakery has always been a family business, and therefore our family endured these life struggles along with the bakery. For instance, the communists because of their ideological beliefs seized the bakery in 1952. It was later recoverable and to this day it is operational at the original location.
In 1995 the grandson and the great-grandson of Ignacy Bulik opened their bakery in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada. 1996 it has moved to the current location in beautiful Mississauga, Ontario. With the addition of a new wing (par-baked production section) in 2003 the size doubled and the production included 11 varieties of whole grain breads.
We currently have many plans and goals, but our main objective is to patiently expand by meeting and exceeding the expectations of our current and potential customers.
